Cool 16 volt battery

Looking for a 16 volt 3 post battery. I will take a new never used (wet) or the gel battery. I can wait for the gel battery if they are going to be available in the next couple of months. thanks

Battery

Dave, I just visited wintery Minnesnowta, (ELY) for a dog sledding Camera work shop with my wife. Great time at Wintergreen Lodge.Luckily the warmest January on record for a while only 8 the coldest day. Dick Butler
Battery another one of those insurance policies but worth it. I bet the more rounds the more it is valuable.

Unhappy LOOKS LIKE 16 VOLTS ARE A WASTE OF TIME??

Dave, on our cars, a 12V. system ( 2 batteries) with a good alternator was an honest -.02 to -.04 faster than the 16 V ( 2 batteries). When I was having all my problems a few years ago, I tried everything. Using a digital volt meter, I found that my 12V. system with the really good East Coast alternator held over 14.5 V. all the way down the track. Granted, with the 16V. stuff, the alternator didn't charge but, the voltage fluctuated too much. I've had absolutely no problems since I switched back. I use a regular 12V. charger and don't worry about it. Hell, I was buying at least 2 Turbo Start's a year, not to mention all the crap I burned up!!

Powermaster

I have one of the new Powermaster 16V batteries. I run everything off of it except i crank on the 12v battery. In Gainesville this past week-end, from what i could tell, it holds a charge better than the Turbostarts did. Time will tell!
